Reception 4pm to 5pm
Join us to hear about the research progress of the 2025 Pivot to Plants Fellows! Each Fellow will present a short talk on their research project, and their experience pivoting to careers in plant science. Afterwards we will celebrate their progress with a networking reception.
The Pivot to Plants Fellows Program is a 1-year training program for people interested in pivoting to a career in plant science, imaging, data science, or related STEM fields, but have limited research experience. The program enables adults with at least an associate's degree to upskill in emerging technologies and methods in imaging, remote sensing, image analysis, data science, machine learning & AI, and plant science, allowing them to change their career trajectory towards numerous emerging technology fields. Fellows work closely with mentors at the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center to be trained for careers alongside educational and industry leaders in the St. Louis Metropolitan Region.
